An odd experience this evening.
Was IMing with a friend who made an oblique reference to an ancient audio comedy recording which I haven’t seen in years, but is probably still lurking somewhere in my collection of crap.
I was contemplating how I would best go about searching for it, without much serious intention of actually doing so, (since it is likely to be buried quite deeply in said collection of crap) when it occurred to me that it would be much easier to just search for a torrent of the thing and download it. Probably faster, too.
It’s kind of the opposite mistake to trying to point to something in the real world with a mouse pointer when you’ve been using a computer for too long; neglecting to realise the utililty of blending a real-world problem into the digital, rather than trying to when it is not feasible.
